Four-fold pattern of worship This pattern has four stages:
- Gathering: God calls people.
- Word: Christ calls people to live transformed lives.
- Table: The Holy Spirit unites people with the Trinity and with each other.
- Sending: The Church is Christ’s partner in earthly ministry.
The purpose of this ministry is to give a brief, biblical foundation of praise dance, flag, or banner ministry for people who may have seen this kind of worship done in church or at church events but did not understand why and how it is used for ministry.
Flags and Banners have been used for centuries to identify tribes, as in the wilderness for the tribes of Israel, to mark territory or boundaries. Flags were used to signal battle field movements, and to signal messages between ships. Flags were also used in war to judge the direction and velocity of the wind. Even today sports announcers and players will look to the flags and banners flying over a stadium to see which way the wind is blowing.
